The advantage of a prepayment plan over a savings account or life insurance policy is that you can pay now, at today's price. As long as your requirements don't change and we carry out your funeral, our costs (as detailed in your plan paperwork) are covered. Our fees will be paid by Ecclesiastical Planning Services at the time of the funeral. You also make a significant contribution towards third party costs, which are outside our control and cannot be guaranteed.
The Advantage of Pre-payment Planning
You can determine your own funeral arrangements,
for
your own peace of mind.
You will save your family from having to make difficult
decisions, trying to guess what you would have wanted, at such a
distressing time.
All options are clearly specified - and you can personalise your plan exactly as you want it.
Each plan usually includes an allowance for other
associated costs, or "disbursements", such as crematorium
or cemetery fees.
The Severn Plan
This is a popular choice, including the following
items:
Removing your body to the funeral directors premises
from anywhere in the local area, at any time of the day or night.
Guiding your relatives or executors on the registration
of the death and other matters relevant to the funeral
Taking care of your body until the funeral
Providing facilities for viewing at the funeral
director’s Chapel of Rest, including washing and dressing in a suitable
gown or your own clothes
Supplying a wood effect veneered coffin, with simulated
brass handles and name plate, and an interior lining
Attending to all the necessary arrangements and
providing the Funeral Director, drivers and bearers for the funeral
service
Supplying a hearse with one following limousine.
The cortege can leave from a private address prior to the funeral
service at a local church, if required, then proceed to a local
crematorium or place of burial

Receiving flowers for the funeral, or charitable
donations in lieu of flowers, and providing a list
of donors
A contribution towards other expenses or “disbursements”,
such as crematorium or burial
fees and the minister’s fee, is also
included in this plan. The amount is based on average costs and
is intended to cover most of the usual disbursements, but they are
outside of the funeral director’s control and cannot be guaranteed.
We can advise you depending on your particular wishes.
The Meese Plan
Providing an enhanced service, with the following
variations to the Severn plan:
The supply of a top quality coffin, finished in
oak veneer with a double-raised lid and panelled sides, furnished
with the finest interior linings and fittings
Supplying two limousines instead of one
The Tern Plan
This is similar to the Severn plan, but with the following variations:
Facilities and preparation for viewing are not included
A plain basic coffin is supplied
No procession is included – usually the hearse will meet the family
at the local crematorium or cemetery
This plan does not include attending a service at a church as
well as at the crematorium
Listing of flowers or charitable donations is not included
The Personal Plan
A funeral is a very special occasion and many people
have particular wishes. If none of the other plans suit your requirements
then please let us know and we will prepare a personalized plan
just for you, to allow for whatever services you require.
